About Brian
As the recipient of a STEM PhD from Johns Hopkins University, I am confident that few tutors will understand mathematical material at a similar level of detail, nor will they be as familiar with the tricks and approaches that allow students to take the next step when they feel they've hit a wall.
I have taught math to students of all levels from kindergarten to graduate students; I have even designed and taught my own statistics course for Johns Hopkins University undergraduates. I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and from all corners of the globe, and I am eager to continue to do so.

I believe any motivated student can master the quantitative skills necessary to succeed in school and prepare them for successful careers.
My approach combines visual learning and Socratic dialogue; the intuition which separates students who struggle and students who excel is not gained from staring blankly at lifeless equations. Every problem tells a story, and I aim to animate these stories in my students' minds.
