About Phillip
I am a freshman in college and have played saxophone since sixth grade. I was saxophone section leader two years in a row, led my own jazz band through my high school, and received the Louis Armstrong jazz excellence award upon graduation. I have played soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones, and could teach any of the above, although my main instrument is alto saxophone. I also led lessons for the lower level high school saxophonists during my senior year, so teaching the instrument is nothing new to me.

I can teach saxophone players from beginner to intermediate. I'd love to help you get started. I support independent learning and practice, but understand that everybody needs a skilled teacher to show them what they're not understanding from time to time. I would play my saxophone in order to demonstrate notes, concepts, tuning, or to simply play a passage that my student is struggling with. I am kind, caring, and endlessly patient. I have taught two students so far, and they have both been very happy with their progress.
