I am a marketing professional with a BA degree in Biological Science, and a secondary concentration in Economics, from the University of Chicago. I have been tutoring high school and college math, biology, chemistry and physics for over ten years.

In tutoring sessions, I focus on giving students explanations on the topics, which they identify to me to be their weak areas, so that they are able to answer questions on those topics correctly for their tests. This method does require that the student be clear about where they need help and that the student knows their success on tests depends mostly on their own effort in their independent study time. However, this approach of emphasizing quality in their studying combined with clear explanations I find is effective at increasing students’ scores.
