About Angus
Hello! My name is Angus Chang, and I am an engineering student at Cornell University with a deep passion for teaching math. Throughout my academic journey, I have achieved multiple perfect scores on the SAT Math section, which reflects my strong understanding and proficiency in the subject. My background in engineering has further honed my logical problem-solving skills, enabling me to break down complex mathematical concepts into understandable and relatable terms. I have experience tutoring students of various ages, from elementary to high school. I understand the unique challenges each age group faces when learning math.
My goal is not only to help students improve their math skills but also to build their confidence and foster a positive attitude towards learning. My tutoring approach is both patient and engaging. I make math enjoyable and accessible for all students. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in math with the right guidance and support. My typical lesson plan is to go through the SAT Math Practice problems and break them down in the most effective and distinguished way to students. Beside SAT Math, I also teach algebra, trigonometry, etc. The lessons are mostly for high school students who are preparing for the SAT.
