I’ve lived in London most of my life and the books I write tend to show that. In my writing I like to bring the atmosphere of the city to the countryside and let the reader enjoy the weirdness of the whole thing.
I teach because I’m determined to be the English teacher I never had growing up.

Hi!
I’m Ivy and I’m sure Ι would love to tutor you.
I teach English online; any level is fine, I prefer to adapt the lessons to the student rather than the other way round.
That said, I obviously have higher expertise in some areas than others.
A lesson with me could cover:
Reading material,
Practice papers for exams,
Comprehension,
Creative writing,
Ancient Greek,
Grammar,
Spelling,
And of course much more.
I also believe that, when it comes to tutoring, it’s important for the tutor and student to build a rapport so that the learning is as fun/ interesting as possible rather than a tedious chore the student resents.
I understand that those who care enough about english to want to take extra classes on it are a creative type and that this type of creativity can often lead to mental health issues, this is part of why I’m so intent on tailoring each student’s lessons to their exact needs.
Perhaps you want to spend your hour with me working intensely one lesson and perhaps the in the next one all you want is someone to discuss the book you’re reading with— both of these things are completely fine.
