About Maya
I’m Maya, a passionate Maths tutor with nine years of experience helping students build confidence and achieve their GCSE goals. I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand something they once found difficult and seeing their confidence grow as a result. I believe every student is capable of improving with the right support, patience and encouragement, and I aim to make Maths feel less intimidating and more achievable. For me, tutoring is about more than just improving grades; it’s about helping students believe in their own ability and giving them the skills and confidence to succeed.

My GCSE Maths lessons are personalised to each student, focusing on building confidence, improving understanding and strengthening exam technique. With nine years of tutoring experience, I support students across Foundation and Higher Maths by identifying areas for improvement, explaining challenging topics clearly, practising exam-style questions and developing effective revision strategies. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s ability and goals, helping them make steady progress and feel more confident in their Maths.
