About Maria
Hi everyone! After 3 years in Barcelona I teach Italian in a school, in academies and to individuals. I have a degree in Italian Literature and Philology, I love teaching, although I have done several jobs in my life living in Ireland, France and Spain. I like to meet my students and talk about everything! The best way to learn a language is to talk about things that interest us! L 'learning has to be intuitive, as for children who learn their mother tongue! Readings, songs ... success depends on teaching and also on personal initiative and motivation.

The approach is communicative. More than a methodology, it is a way of looking at learning. It starts from the idea that the language is used, basically, for communication between people, that you learn by communicating and that the objective is therefore to improve all the aspects included in this communication. Importance is given to all skills and grammar also occupies a place in the teaching process, but above all more space is given for communication, conversation, reading on topics that the student is more aware of, simulation of situations, exactly how children learn. As material the student chooses what he prefers, he can buy a text, or prepare material that I send him or photocopies that I prepare for him. I can teach francophones and anglophones so well. Classes can take place at the student's home, if he lives in the city, in a quiet bar or park. I live in Gracia and normally I don't move more than 5 km, but you can talk.
