About Jean francois
Once you visit my website, my Instagram ( 42k followers ) my Wikipedia page, and google me, I am sure you will be convinced by my abilities to teach photography at any level and to mentor photographers who want to improve their skills. With photojournalism, I learned to be with people of all backgrounds and to always listen, and with fashion and celebrity photographers I have learned a great sense of diplomacy and understanding and deal always in the best possible ways with very diverse types of personalities, and answer their needs. I am French, I have lived in New York City for just over 15 years and I am married to a wonderful American lady.

I am a French photographer living in New York City. I have worked as a photojournalist for 10 years for the French daily newspaper Liberation, represented by one of the most prestigious photo agencies in the industry, Agence VU. After 15 years in the field of journalism, I became a fashion and celebrity photographer at the highest level for 25 years. I was represented by agencies representing photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Steven Klein, etc. My knowledge is invaluable. It goes from the expertise of film photography to digital photography. I am an expert at telling stories with images, as well as in the field of documentaries in Fashion. I am a lighting expert, whether it is in daylight or studio lighting. I was a photography teacher for some time in a prestigious French journalism school ( CFJ ) and I have formed throughout my career more than 100 assistants. Most of them became successful photographers. My lessons cover both fields, photojournalism and fashion and portraits of celebrities, whether it is technique, theoretical, or practical, with conception and reviews of portfolios, and mentoring. I can teach photography from beginners to advanced professional photographers, sharing extensive knowledge of the industry to improve your skills and success. I can mentor photojournalists, fashion photographers, wedding photographers, and portraitists. Lesson plans are tailored based on each student, from beginner to pro with online sessions.
