About Nicola

Hi, I'm Nicky, an experienced International School teacher who has taught across all primary age ranges. As well as being Year Lead at my previous school, I was also the Head of the Learning Support department, a role which meant I ensured that every child had the correct accommodations and learning strategies that they would need to be successful and more importantly feel successful. I offer online tutoring to provide families with flexible, convenient, and consistent learning support from home. Using interactive tools and engaging activities, I make lessons fun, personalized, and effective for each child. Online learning allows me to reach students wherever they are while keeping sessions focused, enjoyable, and tailored to their individual needs.

About the lesson

I’m a very experienced former International School Year Lead and Head of Learning Support offering engaging, fun, and tailored tutoring for primary students across all subjects, including math and English. I specialize in literacy interventions for dyslexia and executive functioning coaching, using a compassionate, structured, and multi-sensory approach to build confidence, independence, and lasting academic success. With strong experience in online teaching, I keep lessons interactive and personalized. I teach all ages from 5-12 and can also offer homework support. A typical lesson plan will include fun introductory activities to develop executive functioning skills, followed by a review of previous teaching to ensure any misconceptions are addressed then an engaging introduction to new curriculum. Continuous assessment throughout the sessions ensures that the learning is always tailored to the current development of each child. My lessons mostly follow the British National Curriculum but I am also confident in other curriculums.
