About Samuel
I recently returned to my hometown after finishing a Master's Degree in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Chicago, where I studied with some of the leaders of the field. My passion is understanding how ideas in history change over time and doing so takes a combination of different areas of knowledge that makes me an effective tutor in a variety of subjects.

I focus on 'big picture' approaches to problem solving that integrate multiple perspectives in order to facilitate critical thinking. For me, different subjects and approaches are important to consider holistically-- by helping someone realizing how much they already know I can help them get to the answer more efficiently. This approach applies across multiple disciplines and teaching modalities.
