About Ilyos

Hi! I’m 16 and I’ve been playing chess seriously for several years. Even as a young player, I’ve developed a solid understanding of strategy, tactics, and game analysis that I love to share with others. My lessons are structured, interactive, and practical. I focus on helping students learn by doing, whether that’s solving puzzles, analyzing games, or practicing real matches. Every lesson is tailored to your level and goals, so you can improve quickly while enjoying the game. What sets me apart is that I’m relatable, approachable, and actively improving my own skills. I understand the challenges beginners and intermediate players face, and I know how to explain concepts in a way that’s clear, engaging, and effective. I teach students from beginner to intermediate level, whether you’re aiming to compete, improve your chess skills, or just enjoy playing more confidently. My goal is to help you see measurable progress, gain confidence, and fall in love with chess.

My Approach as a Chess Tutor
1. Teaching Method and Techniques
I focus on learning by doing, because chess is best understood through practice, not just theory. My lessons combine:
Step-by-step explanations of strategies, openings, tactics, and endgames
Interactive exercises where students try ideas in real positions
Game analysis, including your own games, to identify strengths and areas for improvement
Puzzles and challenges to sharpen calculation, logic, and pattern recognition
I adapt my approach to each student’s pace, making sure learning is fun, engaging, and effective.
2. Typical Lesson Plan (60 minutes)
10–15 minutes: Quick review of previous lesson and homework
20 minutes: Explanation of a new concept (tactic, strategy, or opening principle)
25–30 minutes: Practice games, exercises, or puzzles with live feedback
5 minutes: Recap, tips, and homework to reinforce learning
Lessons are structured but flexible—if a student struggles with a concept, we slow down and focus there until it’s mastered.
3. What Sets Me Apart
I’m young and relatable, so students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I’m actively improving my own chess, so I understand common learning challenges and can explain concepts in ways that beginners and intermediates really understand.
Lessons are personalized, practical, and focused on results—helping students win more games and enjoy chess more.
4. Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are ideal for:
Beginners or intermediate players looking to improve their tactics and strategy
Students from middle school to high school
Chess enthusiasts who want a friendly, approachable tutor who explains clearly and encourages growth
Anyone interested in competitive or casual chess, as lessons can be tailored to goals
