About Susie

Hello! I'm Susie, a qualified primary teacher and award-winning theatre director with seven years' experience in education.

I combine strong curriculum knowledge with creativity, storytelling and drama to help children grow in confidence and develop a genuine enthusiasm for reading and writing.

I have extensive experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs and tailor my teaching to each child's strengths, interests and needs.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and have up-to-date safeguarding training.

About the lesson

Whether your child needs help catching up, wants to develop their writing or simply needs a confidence boost, I offer personalised English tuition that makes learning engaging, accessible and enjoyable.

I offer support across the primary English curriculum, including:

Reading: Building fluency, comprehension and a love of literature.
Writing: Developing vocabulary, sentence structure and confidence in written expression.
Spelling, punctuation & grammar: Establishing strong foundations and applying skills independently.
Creative writing: Nurturing imagination, storytelling and individual voice.
Year 6 SATs: Building confidence and preparing for assessments.
Enrichment: Exploring literature and developing ambitious creative projects for enthusiastic young readers and writers.
