About Pieter

I'm an independent app developer and an Apple Developer Academy alumnus with hands-on experience building and publishing apps for iPhone, Android, and Mac.

I believe anyone can learn to build software with the right guidance, patience, and willingness to practice. You don't need previous coding experience to get started. I'll help you understand the fundamentals, work through challenges, and gradually build confidence by creating real projects.

My teaching style is practical, friendly, and personalized. I adapt each lesson to the student's age, experience, and goals, whether they're a young beginner exploring technology, a teenager interested in creating apps, or an adult looking to develop a new skill or bring an idea to life.

I also introduce AI-assisted development tools responsibly, helping students understand the code they use, think critically, and develop independent problem-solving skills.

My goal is simple: to help you become more confident in your ability to create useful software, one step at a time.

I teach app development through practical, hands-on projects, helping students turn their own ideas into working applications.

My teaching approach

Every student is different, so I tailor lessons to their age, experience, interests, and goals. Beginners can start from scratch, while more experienced students can work on personal projects or explore more advanced development techniques.

I combine programming fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development tools to help students understand how software is built, solve problems, and learn to use AI thoughtfully rather than simply relying on it to write code.

Lesson format

Lessons are personalised one-on-one and usually last 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's needs. Classes are available online or in person. Lessons can be taught in English and are adapted to each student's pace.

My experience

I'm an independent app developer and an Apple Developer Academy alumnus. I've built and published Low Battery Camera, an app available on the official app stores for iPhone, Android, and Mac. I bring practical development experience into my lessons, sharing not only how to write code but also how to test, improve, and ship real applications.
