About Mekavi
I'm an incoming KCL undergraduate who will be studying a BSc in Political Economy in September 2025. When I first started teaching in Sixth Form, I realised that teaching was something I felt very passionately about. I was able to develop my tutoring skills through volunteering at my secondary school, and through tutoring years 3 to 11 at my current job, and thus apply these skills as a professional tutor. Seeing pupils gain confidence and progress in their education, and knowing that I play a part in their progression, is very rewarding and fulfilling. All of my teaching experience has enabled me to understand that every student is different; they can understand topics at different paces, and some are visual learners, whereas some are auditory learners. Therefore, I tailor my learning to ensure the student understands the topics and questions well.

-I will use the exam board-based notes and ensure my students understand the topic well before practising several exam-style questions. -I studied OCR sciences, Edexcel Economics and Edexcel Maths at GCSE and A-levels, therefore, I have revision notes and flashcards that I can provide. - I have over two years of experience tutoring pupils aged 4-16 and know the best approach to take to ensure the students are well-engaged and focused during the lesson.
