About Aditya

I have been an avid mathematics student over the past ~6 years having completed AP Calculus BC with an A in the class and earning a 5 on the exam and similarly with AP Statistics. I scored a 790/800 on the Math SAT and a 750/760 on the Math PSAT. I am majoring in Applied Mathematics at UC San Diego. I have consistently earned A's in my math classes and am ready to impart my knowledge to others. I have also tutored before at schoolhouseworld, a partner of Khan Academy, and received favorable reviews, with over 800 minutes of total tutoring. In addition, I have participated in the AMCs (American Mathematics Competition) and Mathcounts, scoring in the 92nd percentile on the AMC 10, so I am capable of helping advanced students prep for those contests as well.

About the lesson

- A typical lesson plan would spend about 20-30 minutes covering the theory about a particular topic and explaining in depth why certain things are true, then solving 4-6 problems with the student and helping them fix any misconceptions. - Focuses on asking the student guiding questions so that they are able to master the concepts themselves rather than spoonfeeding the answers - I can also (if allowed) have the student send me screenshots of their previous tests/quizzes and see that first before having a session so I know exactly what their misconceptions are - The lessons can be used to prepare for school tests, complete school homework, or prepare for the AMC 8, Mathcounts, SAT, or AP Calculus/Statistics exam
