About Linzy

As one of the good performing students in high school, having developed good study skills and having approachable, knowledgeable instructors is a fine recipe for academic success---and that is exactly what I wish to replicate. Though I have had no experience as a professional tutor, I have always taught friends and other students whenever they needed help during high school. Being a college student also helps me understand the inevitability of academic struggles; so while professionalism is established, my tutee can definitely find a friend, who equally relates with academic struggles, in me! I also genuinely love to learn, and it is my hope to share the fun with you!

About the lesson

I am a firm believer that constant practice, with constructive criticism and input, is a major step to becoming a better learner. A typical lesson plan would often consist of one topic broken down into subtopics. This will include the teaching of techniques and the giving of sample problems to ensure that the student masters the necessary skills. Homework MAY also be given to ensure practice, and skill checks will also be conducted from time to time to check for proficiency. Patience is vital in sharing one's knowledge, so I am willing to take it step by step with my student and slowly build up the topics to ensure understanding. Though I am teaching, I will serve more as a guide to allow them to build their own confidence. The lessons are for students who primarily need help with Arithmetic and/or Algebra.
