About Heather
I am a current senior electrical engineering student at Texas A&M University, and I will be starting graduate school in the electrical engineering department at Stanford University in the fall. I've worked at Microsoft, ExxonMobil, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and I love helping my students with college application processes/internship processes.
I believe mentorship is very important, and I serve as a reliable mentor and a great tutor. I've tutored since 2016 and have over 1000 hours of experience. I tutor students from pre-K to college. I like breaking down processes and making complicated processes seem easier.

I like to break down hard topics with an interactive approach so my student and I can work together to deepen their understanding of a certain topic. I like to teach by relating concepts to real-life applications and starting with a simple practice problem.
In general, my lessons center around the students. I will ask them what they are going over in lectures, classes, essays, or whatever they feel they need help with! I'll start explaining the concepts they are going over first. If these concepts seem challenging, we'll perform a deep dive into the fundamentals of the topic. If they are progressing quickly, I will enhance the difficulties of the problems and challenge them further. I love working with students to understand their needs and how I can help them achieve their goals.
