About J Scott
I spent the last twenty years teaching and hold a Masters degree in TESOL as well as Curriculum and Instructions. I am a native English speaker who learned Spanish so I am familiar with all the trials and tribulations of learning a language.
I used project-based learning and student-centered learning to keep my students interested and engaged while teaching at Punta Cana International School in the Dominican Republic.

I work with anyone who wants and needs to improve their English Language skills. Together we determine your needs and plan a program to achieve your goals. I use current music, news services,
movies and conversation to build confidence and improve skills.
I spent the last six years in The Dominican Republic providing English language support, getting students from 6th to12th to grade level, tutoring, and teaching adult classes. The students I worked with came from all over the world and ranged from beginning to intermediate levels in an EFL environment. Many of whom were native Spanish speakers.
I believe learning needs to be fun, engaging, and, interesting!
