About Katharine
Hi, my name is Katharine!
I'm a native English speaker from Leicestershire, England. I am TEFL certified and have experience in mentoring conversational English for both teens and adults.
I've worked face-to-face in Europe with students from many different backgrounds. I take pride in my role and as a result will be there to support you as a person as you continue to learn, not just to correct mistakes.
I am very interested in your personal learning history and goals. As an avid language leaner myself, I'm well versed with how to achieve confidence and control over a language that is not your own! I'm committed to making your ambition of being fluent in English a reality!

Welcome!
Your language learning journey is personal, so for our first lesson together we'll have a laid back chat to discover what your learning goals are and make a plan of how to achieve them.
I'm TEFL qualified and have experience teaching conversational English in several countries, from teens to adults. I feel that a student-led approach is best; we will talk about topics that excite you to motivate your English speaking journey.
I like to focus more on vocabulary and accent progress rather than grammar - this is because I believe that true fluency isn't defined by having zero errors, it is however being able to jump into a conversation of any topic and fit in by being culturally aware! However, I am more than happy to assist you with exam preparation and on your writing skills.
