About Mohamed

Hi, my name is Mohamed - I am a Physics graduate from Imperial College London, and I have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring maths and physics, as it is amongst my favourite things to do. From volunteer tutoring at secondary school and university, to doing it as a paid profession upon graduating, I have picked up a lot of skills and experience in the art of teaching.

My grades at GCSE and A-level are as follows:

GCSE:
Maths - 9
Physics - 9

A-level:
Maths - A*
Physics - A*
Further Maths - A

I can cater to diverse styles of teaching - those who prefer rigorous adherence to exam boards and attaining the highest grades, and also those who prefer a more holistic approach to learning through interactive activities and games.

I have worked at both extremes, and can handle any desired balance of the two.

About the lesson

My philosophy revolves around action. I believe that most of the time should be spent doing, as it is doing which builds confidence. I will concisely and simply explain the concepts as and when misunderstandings arise, but the bulk of it will be me walking you through problems, and then the student gradually taking the wheel.

Lessons would be however long the student wishes. Personally I believe that longer sessions (1-2 hours) are best when practising maths and physics, even if they are done less regularly. It allows the flow state to go uninterrupted.
