About Storm
Hey! I’ve always struggled in school, so much so that my headmistress told me not to take A-Level maths and at the start of year 12 Physics I was earning Cs. Through a lot of hard work I finished with an A* in further maths and Physics (amongst my other subjects).
My job is to make sure you don’t have to go through that struggle, but still have the same outcome.
If you don’t understand something I’ve taught you, that’s MY fault. Not yours, never yours. I firmly believe everyone can be ‘a maths person’ or even more simply- everyone can do anything they just need the right tools. The right explanation. That’s where I come in.

Whilst I love maths, it never came naturally to me. In fact, when I was at school, my headmistress recommended that I didn’t take Maths at A-Level! I went on to do exactly that (further maths too)—and now have an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London.
I think this experience gives me a unique perspective as a tutor. I remember what it feels like to look at something that seems completely obvious to everyone else and just not understand it. Because of this, I’m particularly good at identifying where a student is getting stuck and finding a different way of explaining it that makes sense to them. I have also received feedback from parents before that stated I helped with the student’s confidence, not just their abilities. I think that’s the most rewarding part.
My aim isn't simply to teach students how to get the right answer, but to help them understand why the answer is right and build the confidence to tackle problems independently.
