About Sid
Hi, I’m Sid. I’m currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science (JMC) at Imperial College London. I went to St Paul’s School, where I got A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics.
I’ve spent years doing competitive maths challenges. I’m a 4x UKMT Senior Gold medallist and qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) three times. I also co-founded an ed-tech platform and have built software for engineering startups, so I deal with practical mathematics daily.
Because I sat these exact exams recently, I know where the current specifications are painful and where students usually trip up. I don’t treat tutoring like a rigid lecture; I’m just here to show you the shortest path to breaking down tough problems and getting the grade you need.

I don’t believe in making you memorise dozens of arbitrary formulae. If you don't understand the underlying logic, exam boards will completely throw you off with the harder, weirdly phrased questions at the end of the paper.
Here is exactly how I run sessions:
• Real Logic Over Rote Learning: We break down heavy topics like calculus, matrices, or mechanics until they actually make sense, rather than just copying down steps.
• Active Problem Solving: We spend less time watching slides and more time actively working through tough problems together so you learn how to think when you get stuck.
• Exam Specification Focus: We focus heavily on real past papers (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) to decode exactly how mark schemes award points.
Whether you're trying to fix your foundation at GCSE or trying to secure an A* in A-Level Further Maths, we’ll cut the fluff and focus entirely on what gets marks.

Sid taught my son 11+ entrance exam style questions and now he's really flying both at school and when doing any questions I find for him online. Sid tutored our son for about 12 weeks last year for his 11+ prep, and he was fantastic. Most previous tutors we tried would just open up a standard Bond book and work through the pages line by line, which got boring fast. However, Sid was completely different and always showed up with his own material.
