About Haayed

I'm a first year Aeronautical Engineering student at Imperial College London with a proven academic and tutoring background. I find helping others incredibly fulfilling, especially as I can resonate with their struggles, as I was once (and still am) in their position too!

My tutoring journey began in sixth form: one afternoon a week, I visited a primary school to be a teaching assistant, supporting Year 5 pupils with Maths and English to encourage them to apply to top grammar schools. This involved 1-to-1 help and the creation of worksheets to suit each pupil's needs, which was particularly rewarding. I also volunteered as a KS3 Maths Mentor at my school, assisting GCSE students with tricky problems. Most recently, I was a Teaching Assistant at an 11+ centre, where I led group sessions and communicated progress feedback to parents, with 80% of my students achieving target scores in their June mocks.

Most recently, I navigated the choppy waters of UCAS university admissions, from the new personal statement format to the ESAT and interviews. My enthusiasm and drive for problem-solving culminated in me landing 2x offers from Imperial (Aeronautical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering). Having been through this, I understand applicants' struggles with the lack of suitable ESAT resources and the need for someone (like myself) to guide them through the process.

About the lesson

From experience, the proven best method to improve your learning is to elevate your confidence. To do this, I will guide you through topics in a way that will allow you to quickly master them. I will teach you the tricks & techniques that you can add to your toolkit for solving problems independently. We'll set approachable yet ambitious goals, and I'm excited to celebrate achieving them with you!

I currently offer GCSE & A-Level tutoring for:

- Further Maths
- Physics

As a 2x Imperial Engineering offer holder, I also provide support for undergraduate university admissions, including:
- Personal Statement reviews (for any STEM subject)
- ESAT tuition
- Mock interviews
