Hi! I’m Ayuub, a passionate and patient tutor with a strong background in biology and medical sciences. I graduated in biology and medical lab sciences with a distinction and am currently completing my Master’s in Genes, Drugs & Stem Cells at Imperial College London. My academic journey has given me a deep understanding of subjects like biology, chemistry, genetics, and molecular medicine, and I love helping students grasp complex topics in a clear, practical way. Hello, I'm Ayuub. I am a postgraduate scientist currently completing my MSc at Imperial College London. As a high-achieving student at a top university, I know how to excel in high-pressure exams. I hold a First Class Honours in my Bachelor's degree, so I have first-hand, recent experience of the exact challenges you are facing. My experience isn't just in theory, it's in practice and I am passionate about helping you achieve the same high grades. My Teaching Approach & Methodology My philosophy is simple: A-Level exams are a test of application and understanding, not just memory. Many students know the content but "freeze" on exam questions. My method is designed to fix this. We will move beyond just recapping the textbook and focus on three key areas: Deconstructing the Exam: We will break down "command words" (Describe vs. Explain vs. Evaluate), 6-mark questions, and for AQA, the 25-mark essay. You will learn to see the mark scheme before you've even seen the question. Targeted Practice: Our sessions will be driven by your needs, using past-paper questions. We will find your specific weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Who My Lessons Are For My lessons are designed for ambitious students who want to secure top grades. I specialise in tutoring: A-Level Biology Students (Year 12 & 13): I cover all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, and OCR) and am perfect for students aiming for A/A* grades for medicine, dentistry, or other competitive university courses. Ambitious GCSE Biology Students (Higher Tier): I can help you build the rock-solid foundation of content and skills needed to excel at A-Level. Lesson Structure Lessons are tailored to your needs and learning pace. I will ask for your preferences and tailor the sessions to your wishes Standard Lesson: 60 minutes is the typical length, ideal for deep-diving into a specific topic or set of exam questions. Intensive Session: 90-minute sessions are also available and are highly effective for tackling a full past paper or a complex topic (like photosynthesis or respiration) in one go.
