About Emma
I'm a fully qualified Maths teacher with 3 years experience of teaching Maths (one year training and two years working in an OFSTED Outstanding- rated secondary school). At uni, I mentored on maths and engineering workshops for schools around London, as well as on a Problem Solving course to help prepare students for the Maths Application Test for university admissions. I have also taught extra-curricular style maths at maths camps in Ghana, Kenya, Beijing, and Shenzhen. I have also created and delivered a Royal Institution Lecture and Workshop on the mysteries behind infinity. My passion for Maths education does not end. I strongly believe that everyone can enjoy Maths, as long as they have the right teacher and mindset.
I also love mountaineering, going to the gym, and cooking curries :)

With experience teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE, IB SL AI and undergraduate Maths, I have an excellent understanding of how students learn, and how to build confidence.
How I teach will be dependent on the best way that you learn. We will discuss how you would like to complete the tutoring sessions and come up with a plan together to achieve your goals.
Lessons will involve some of the following: mini assessments, conversations, examples, questions, games, projects, coaching and homework. Whatever you need to help your learning, we can do. I will always be honest and encouraging! :)
