About Iihan

Hello, my name is Iihan and I'm currently a medical student studying at Imperial College London and I'm a tutor for GCSE and A-level students, helping to prepare them for their Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics exams. Not too long ago I was in a similar position to you preparing for my own exams so I have a solid understanding of the stress and anxiety you may be feeling at the moment, but not to worry. I can most definitely help you achieve your desired grades in the subjects mentioned above as well as developing your ability to learn new concepts faster and more effectively.

I understand that each student is different, and I take the time to personalise lessons to suit your individual needs and goals.
Together, we can build strong problem-solving skills, and nurture a passion for the sciences and maths, which will help you to achieve your target grades. My ultimate aim is not only to help you excel in exams but also to equip you with essential life skills that extend beyond the classroom and into the real world.

About the lesson

As an experienced tutor specialising in maths, chemistry, and physics, my approach to tutoring is centred around fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment. I believe in tailoring my teaching techniques to the individual needs and learning styles of my students, ensuring they grasp complex concepts effectively.

My teaching methodology involves breaking down challenging topics into manageable segments. I encourage active participation and engagement during the lessons, encouraging students to ask questions and participate in problem-solving exercises.

A typical lesson with me usually lasts 60 minutes, allowing sufficient time for thorough explanations, practice, and addressing any queries that may arise. I find that this duration strikes a balance between covering the necessary content and ensuring the student remains attentive and focused throughout the session.

As for my qualifications and experience, I hold an A* in Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Physics at A-level and a grade 9 in my GCSEs for the same subjects. Additionally, I have privately tutored my juniors at my medical school and prospective A-level students previously and have successfully guided them in achieving their goals with their grades.

My lessons are tailored to students from years 9-12 preparing for their GCSEs and A-levels. I am well-versed in various curricula and can adapt my teaching materials to align with specific educational requirements and specifications for different exam boards.

Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is not only to help my students excel in their academic pursuits but also to instil a passion for these subjects. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing learning experience that empowers my students to achieve their full potential and develop strong grades to help them in their application process to whichever university and career path in which they would like to follow.
