About Naveesha

I am a 4th year bioengineering student at Imperial College London. My main goal is to help students learn and grow. I want to help in any way I can with the experience and knowledge I have gained. I did Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level and Further Maths AS-Level.

I have:
*Experience teaching children in Maths, Science, English and swimming which made me perceptive and able to adjust my approach based on differing needs.

* Experience sharing knowledge/teaching peers during university meant the learning space was very collaborative and fun, as I feel students (including myself!) learn best when they feel comfortable and look forward to learning, which I hope to bring to our lessons.

* Working with people in many capacities to ensure they reach their goals, in my capacity as a teacher, teammate or even to a friend, I facilitated the delivery of good results by ensuring collaboration and focus - I hope to bring this to our lessons and aid all students to achieve the results that they want!

About the lesson

I primarily teach maths and sciences, as I have most experience in this and have continued learning to higher levels in these subjects myself during university.

During the first lesson, I will just get to know more about the student and try to gauge where they are at in the hopes of getting to understand their background, experience and needs so I know where to start my lessons and to be able to tailor any lessons to what the student desires. Lesson structures are super flexible and my approach is to cater to the students needs and requests, we can structure sessions based on what the student feels would be most beneficial.

I am also happy to discuss anything regarding universities/courses and options if anyone is not sure, as I feel I have a lot of knowledge on this from my experience and perspective having gone through the process and being surrounded by people with different experiences and paths across universities. I want to help students feel as informed as possible as I remember how daunting it was trying to decide your future so young. I can also help with personal statements for A-Level students.

Ultimately I just want to help in any way I can, so feel free to approach me if you want to discuss different possibilities for tutoring/advice that may have not been mentioned here!
