About Henry
As a student who often found it (and still does) difficult to immediately understand difficult concepts, from an early stage in school I realised the importance of effective studying and revision. I tried many tips, tricks and techniques before finding what works for me, and so have a repertoire to offer students!
I understand that often in school your knowledge needs boosting outside of the classroom, and that's what I intend to do.
I find interactive lessons revolving around the student's questions the most effective and believe there are several ways to boost your grades without it feeling overwhelming.
I study Immunology at University, having completed a general bioscience first year, and so my knowledge is being continually nourished and expanded.
When I'm not doing Biology, I enjoy playing sax, running and going out with friends.

Lessons are flexible, adaptive and entirely student-focused. I have found that utilising every individual student's skill-set allows great foundations to build upon. Lessons revolve around a general topic area, building on what is already known and finishing on the applications to other topics. I find spaced repetition through revisiting and integrating topics particularly useful, as this is a tool I still use as a student.
The use of previous exam questions and worksheets aides with the application of understanding, and sets students up well for their exams.
Lessons typically 1 hour in length.
I began tutoring as a student in school, starting with GCSE Biology and Chemistry before moving into A-Level Biology. I am also a peer-assisted study leader for first year students at university. I have always enjoyed helping others to understand, and grow to enjoy Biology.
