About Kian onn
Hi, I am Teacher Yap. I have 8 years of teaching experience. I was a maths Olympiad coach for SASMO, DOKA, UKMT, and KANGAROO. Through my teaching career, I have developed teaching methods which suit the weak students as well as the fast learners. Let's learn maths as learning ABC.

I group students into 3 categories (Alpha, Beta, Gamma).
Alpha for slow learners
My main objective in the Alpha Class is to build students' confidence and interest in mathematics. I believe that everyone can learn maths.
One of the main reasons students give up on mathematics is that they accumulate too many doubts and misconceptions over time. As a result, they lose confidence and motivation. That's why they need a good tutor to guide them step by step and help them overcome their difficulties.
Beta for average learners
For average students, the key to achieving an A/A* is consistent revision and regular problem-solving practice.
In my Beta Class, I guide students through a wide variety of questions while closely monitoring their progress. Once they develop a strong foundation, their grades can improve significantly, often progressing from a B/C to an A/A*.
Gamma for fast learners.
My goal is to equip them with the knowledge, problem-solving skills, and mathematical thinking required for higher-level mathematics and competitive examinations.
