About Sreemati
With 25 years of experience teaching IB and IGCSE Geography, I bring extensive classroom, curriculum, and assessment expertise to every lesson. I am a PGCE-trained Geography graduate, an experienced IB Examiner and Moderator, and I have worked with students from diverse international-school backgrounds.
My approach is supportive, engaging and focused on helping students become confident, independent thinkers. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and learning from mistakes.
Whether you are preparing for examinations, strengthening your subject knowledge or aiming for higher grades, I provide personalized guidance, clear explanations, structured practice and expert feedback.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, inquiry-driven and focused on building both subject knowledge and confidence. With 25 years of experience teaching IB and IGCSE Geography, I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style and specific goals.
I use a combination of concept-based teaching, real-world case studies, discussion, questioning and exam-style practice. I encourage students to think critically, make connections and apply geographical concepts rather than simply memorizing content. As an IB Examiner and Moderator, I also help students understand assessment criteria, improve their responses and develop effective exam techniques.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s age, level and requirements. Lessons usually include a short review, focused teaching and discussion, followed by application through questions, case studies or exam practice.
I am a PGCE-trained Geography graduate with 25 years of IB and IGCSE teaching experience. I have worked extensively with international school students and have experience as an IB Geography Examiner and Moderator, which has given me a strong understanding of both curriculum requirements and assessment expectations.
My lessons are suitable for IGCSE and IB Geography students, generally aged 14–18, including those preparing for examinations, seeking to strengthen their conceptual understanding, and aiming to improve their grades and academic confidence.
