About Mahnoor

Hello! My name is Mahnoor, and I am a passionate Mathematics educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, including teaching in UAE schools and working with international curriculums such as IB (MYP & DP), IGCSE, GCSE, and middle school mathematics.

I currently work in the UAE and have extensive experience teaching students from Grades 6–12 across a wide range of mathematical abilities. Throughout my teaching career, I have supported students in improving their confidence, strengthening foundational skills, and achieving excellent academic results.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and encouraging. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding step by step. I strongly believe that every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance and support.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience working with gifted learners, supporting students with different learning needs, and preparing students for assessments, exams, and mathematics competitions. I focus not only on solving problems but also on helping students understand the logic and concepts behind mathematics.

Professionalism, consistency, and student progress are at the center of my teaching approach. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs and learning pace to ensure meaningful improvement and long-term confidence in mathematics.

I look forward to helping students reach their full potential and develop a stronger, more positive relationship with mathematics.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, supportive, and highly interactive. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons according to the student’s pace, strengths, and learning style. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization, helping students gain confidence and develop problem-solving skills.

In my lessons, I use:
• Step-by-step explanations
• Real-life examples to simplify difficult concepts
• Inquiry-based learning and guided practice
• Exam-style questions and revision techniques
• Differentiated strategies for students with different abilities, including EAL and SEN learners

A typical lesson usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes depending on the student’s needs and goals. Lessons are structured with explanation, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and review.

I have experience teaching students from Grades 6–12, including preparation for school exams, assessments, and mathematics competitions. I also support students who need help with homework, foundational skills, enrichment, or advanced mathematics.

My lessons are suitable for:

• IGCSE & GCSE students
• Students needing extra support or confidence building
• Gifted and talented learners seeking enrichment
