About Maria

I am a qualified ESL teacher, have been working since 2007 with groups and individuals, with all ages and courses. I specialize in academic English and exam preparation (IELTS, PTE and Cambridge) but also conversational English. What I do best is help students reorganize what they already know so they can use it better and make fewer mistakes.

About the lesson

I believe that individual lessons should save the student time, so they should be different for everyone. I am very comfortable teaching any aspect of English at this point, so I prefer finding out what each person wants out of a lesson before I plan them; but I do like to give students as much practice time as possible in each lesson and will provide a study plan after our first meeting. I have tried and tested loads of materials and have narrowed down what works best.
