About Olivier
I have 4 years of teaching experience at Columbia University, and 200+ hours of experience tutoring students at the individual level, ranging from K-12 learners to university students. I have a doctorate in Classics from Columbia, and have spent the last eleven years perfecting my ability to craft persuasive essays, developing effective study habits, and refining my teaching methods.

My approach is holistic and consists of empowering you by addressing the person behind the learner. I believe that the real key to academic success comes less from innate talent than from curating the proper mindset and developing the right studying habits. As such, I not only want to help you with your studies but also want to help you develop the skills to be a better student overall.
A typical lesson with me will include taking the time to discuss your goals as a student and a learner, and your progress on those goals. We will then work on targeted exercises/lessons designed to develop your strengths and address your weaknesses, and I will guide you towards developing studying and learning habits and techniques that will empower you throughout your studies. In the short term, my teaching will help you with your schoolwork. In the long term, you will have gained the confidence and the executive skills to grow as a learner things which you can then apply to every aspect of your life.
