About Riya

How you doin! I'm Riya, and I'm currently and undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Physiology and Immunology.

During high school, I took Biology for all my 4 years, and did the IB Diploma. I took higher level (similar to Advanced Placement) Biology, where I scored a 7 in my final exam.

When it comes to teaching, I am a very hands on person. I will answer your questions and personalize your lesson for you. However, it's not just the teaching that sets me apart. Being an undergraduate student at UOFT allows me to gain access to several resources. I also have access to all of my high school notes and resources, which I would give to you for free - as they would come along with my lessons. These are questions that could probably and most likely will show up on your question papers.

About the lesson

Hi there!

My typical lesson is usually around 60 minutes. We take the first 5 minutes to settle in, the next 45 minutes of working (working with the Pomodoro technique - 13 minute study, 2 minute break) and the last 10 minutes wrapping up questions.

Being an undergraduate Human Biology student at the University of Toronto and having done my IB Diploma in HL Biology, I have access to a lot of notes and resources which I will share with you; questions that show up on your tests, and questions your teacher might use.

My lessons would be valuable for middle school and high school kids.
