About Hua
I am a passionate tutor who has achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s at GCSE level and is predicted 3A*s at Alevel. Throughout these past few years, volunteering at various charities and care homes as well as continuing tutoring has really helped me adapt and improve my communication skills. More importantly, it has reinforced my passion in improving lives through teaching, being there as a tutor to not only improve outcomes but there as a supportive and kind person you can rely on. I have a genuine want to help students improve as I believe 100% that with the right environment and resources, every student has the ability to thrive!

My tutoring sessions first involve discussing with my students how they want the sessions to be run and what they want to get out of a session. I am open, adaptive and friendly. I will always be welcoming to suggestions as I believe this is imperative to effective learning. I offer interview prep and personal statement help for medicine applications. I also teach A-level/GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths and can help primary age students prepare for SATs. Being a recent medicine applicant who has secured all 4 offers at very highly ranked universities, puts me in a good position to not only give advice but to also be there as someone who understands and resonates with this stressful time. I believe I am someone who has developed good people skills through my tutoring and various volunteering placements. My lessons are 1 hr long and we can do a trial session first!
