About Josy

Hello everyone, my name is Josie and I am a Chinese tutor with a passion for teaching the Chinese language and culture to people from different parts of the world. With my previous experience as a TV host and narrator of a video games competition, I have developed strong communication and presentation skills that I now bring to my tutoring sessions.

I believe that learning a new language should be an exciting and engaging experience, which is why I use interactive and fun teaching methods to help my students improve their Chinese language skills. My goal as a tutor is to provide personalized attention and support to each of my students so that they can achieve their language learning goals.

One of the functions that I believe will be attractive for students is my ability to make learning Chinese feels like a fun and rewarding experience. By using my skills as a TV host, I can create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that keeps my students motivated and excited to learn more about the Chinese language and culture. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I am confident that I can help you improve your Chinese language skills and achieve your language learning goals.

About the lesson

1. Assess Student’s Level: The first thing I need to do is to evaluate my student’s current level of Chinese proficiency. This will help me understand where to start and what topics to focus on.

2. Set Goals: Once I have evaluated your student’s level, set goals for what the student wants to achieve by the end of each session. These goals will be specific, measurable, and achievable within the timeframe of each session.

3. Choose Topics: Choose topics that are relevant to student's interests and needs.

4. Use Interactive Learning Techniques: Incorporate interactive learning techniques, such as role-playing, games, and visual aids to keep students engaged and motivated.

5. Provide Homework: Assign homework to reinforce what was learned during the session. The homework could include listening or reading exercises, writing assignments, or watching videos.

6. Give Feedback: Provide feedback to students on their progress and areas they need to improve. Encourage the student to ask questions and give feedback on the lesson.

7. Evaluate Progress: Regularly evaluate students' progress to ensure they achieve their goals. If necessary, adjust the lesson plan to address any gaps or areas of weakness.

As a former TV host, I can also leverage my experience by incorporating your public speaking skills to help students improve their pronunciation and intonation when speaking Chinese. My classes will be engaging, fun, and interactive to help students achieve their language learning goals.
