About Cameron
With an Honours in Psychological Science (BaPsySci.Hons) and extensive experience in clinical, research, and talk-therapy roles, I'm genuinely energised by the opportunity afforded by teaching to share both academic knowledge, and experience of work in the field. I also offer guidance and advice in navigating post-graduate processes, through to the steps for registration, a stage that can initially be quite daunting.
I'm experienced teaching A-level subjects through to APAC accredited undergraduate courses. Lessons are very much tailored to individual students' learning styles, current units of study, and specific questions regarding assessment criteria and expectations. By simplifying theories and analyses with simpler analogous examples and real experiences, my sessions address both assessment questions and individual styles of learning.
I derive genuine satisfaction from helping students where, during my own undergraduate degree, I needed assistance with units and assessments myself. Now being in a position to provide that extra leg up in achieving the best possible results is a real privilege.

I teach according to students' individual level of study, current subject/s, assessment criteria, and learning styles. With reference to my own experience both academically & in the field, I also offer advice and guidance, when requested, around navigating postgraduate plans and provisional registration.
Lessons are informed by students' current subjects allowing for variance in marking criteria between universities. Lessons can also include help with statistics, data acquisition and management, qualitative and quantitative methods and analyses relevant to any assessment criteria presented by students.
My lessons are typically structured first by establishing mutual familiarity with the subject/s, gauging students' progress and comprehension, identifying themes within that subject, and addressing any assessment questions and clarifying criteria with a focus on effective communication that best suits individual styles of learning. This may include, for example, an emphasis on more visual descriptors, linguistic details, or a quantitative focus, which is established early on in collaboration with students to ensure lessons are effective as possible.
My lessons are primarily focused on undergraduate subjects and criteria, however honours students are also welcome.
Session duration is flexible but typically run for 60 to 90 minutes, with shorter or longer requests available.
