About Maggie
Hi, I’m Maggie! I’m 15 years old and a high school sophomore. I’m in Honors Algebra 2 currently and AP World History, and while math is my favorite subject, I also really enjoy history. I understand that school can be tough sometimes, and I’m here to help make things feel a little easier, especially when it comes to algebra. I play volleyball and softball, which has taught me how to stay focused, be organized, and manage my time. These are all skills I bring into my tutoring, because I know how important it is to stay on track. I also have a dog who keeps me busy and adds a lot of joy to my life. Between school, sports, and my dog, I’ve learned how to balance different things, and I think that helps me understand how other people feel when they’re juggling a lot. When I tutor, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident in what you’re learning. I’ll explain things clearly and at a pace that works for you. I’m here to be patient, understanding, and supportive, no matter what you’re struggling with. I believe anyone can succeed if they have the right support, and I’m here to offer that support every step of the way.

In my lessons, I focus on making algebra clear and approachable. I know math can be tricky sometimes, but I truly believe that with patience and the right approach, anyone can understand it. We’ll go over key concepts together, work through problems step by step, and find learning strategies that make sense for you. I always adapt to what works best for each student, whether that means extra practice, breaking things down in a new way, or just offering encouragement along the way.
What makes me different is that I understand what it’s like to learn this material as a student right now. I know which parts can feel confusing, and I can explain them in a way that actually clicks. Most of all, I want to be kind, patient, and supportive so that algebra feels less stressful and maybe even a little fun.

As a parent, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my 8th-grade son’s understanding of Algebra 1 thanks to Maggie. He was struggling with concepts like solving equations and understanding inequalities, which were affecting his confidence. Maggie took the time to explain things in a way that really clicked for him, breaking down each step and offering real-life examples that made the math feel more relevant. She was patient and made sure he fully grasped each concept before moving on, which helped him build a strong foundation. I’ve noticed not only a boost in his test scores but also a new sense of confidence in tackling math problems. I’m so grateful for Maggie’s dedication to his success!
Maggie would be a great tutor because she is dedicated, organized, and thoughtful in her approach to learning. She has the ability to break down complicated ideas, like unit conversions for me, in a way that makes them easier to understand. Additionally, Maggie’s focus on subjects she’s passionate about, such as math and English, helps her offer guidance with enthusiasm. With her approachable demeanor and persistence, Maggie would provide support tailored to each student’s needs.
