About Abe
I have taught math to students K-12 at the Mathnasium, a math tutoring center, as well as helping them with their homework. I have also helped a geometry teacher with grading papers and personalizing her students' experiences. I have taught weekly art lessons as well, which were dependent upon knowledge of the student's preferred learning style. When I was thirteen I organized online classes and taught lessons about herpetology to a local homeschool co-op. I am a high school graduate with honors, a 4.1 GPA and 1490 SAT score. I am a member of the National Honor Society and National Society of High School Scholars, as well as the recipient of the most prestigious merit-based scholarship offered by Purdue University, where I will be studying neuroscience this fall. The interesting part about my achievements is that my math teacher was the main reason behind my success. I genuinely struggled with math, and in fact I was two years behind my grade level until he taught me to learn math MY way. He kept pushing me even when I wanted to give up, because he saw past my inabilities to my potential. Thanks to my own experiences, I strongly believe that every student can excel in math. I am here for you, and I know you will succeed!
