About Kaylee

My name is Kaylee Nguyen, and I’m a 15-year-old high school student with a 4.1 GPA and a strong passion for English. I love reading—especially fairy tales—and I enjoy helping younger students build their confidence and skills. I’m excited about the opportunity to tutor elementary students in English this summer and make learning fun and engaging. I’ve had plenty of experience working with kids through babysitting my younger cousins, helping them with schoolwork, and even supporting them in selling Girl Scout cookies. These experiences have taught me how to be patient, clear when explaining things, and encouraging every step of the way. I take my responsibilities seriously and always show up prepared and professional. I’m looking forward to helping students feel more confident in reading and writing and to making a positive difference in their learning journey this summer!

About the lesson

I’m a dedicated 15-year-old excited to tutor elementary students in English this summer! I especially enjoy working with younger kids and finding creative, engaging ways to help them learn. I’ve been in Honors English since 6th grade and have earned straight A’s in the subject every year. As a fluent English speaker born and raised in the U.S., I’m confident in both writing and speaking—and I love sharing that passion with others. I enjoy writing short stories and poetry, and I recently won a district literature competition for a poem I wrote myself. My tutoring style is fun, interactive, and supportive—I use unique techniques to keep students interested while helping them build strong reading and writing skills. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have excellent experience with writing and speaking English and I promise I can make learning something your kids will genuinely look forward to!!
