My Teaching Methodology and Techniques
My methodology is built on peer-to-peer connection and clarity. Because I am a high school student myself, I don't lecture; instead, I break down complex English concepts into conversational, easy-to-digest steps. I utilize active recall, interactive brainstorming, and the "I Do, We Do, You Do" technique. First, I demonstrate how to analyze a text or structure a paragraph; then, we work on one together; and finally, I guide the student as they try it independently to build genuine confidence.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Every 60-minute lesson is structured to maximize engagement and reduce academic stress:

The Warm-Up (5–10 mins): A quick, fun vocabulary game or a review of a concept from our previous session.

The Core Focus (25 mins): Dissecting a specific text, practicing grammar rules, or mapping out an essay outline based on current school assignments.

Guided Application (15 mins): Working through a practical exercise together to apply the day's lesson.

Wrap-Up & Action Plan (5 mins): Summarizing what we learned, celebrating wins, and setting a small goal for the next week.

What Sets Me Apart
My biggest advantage is that I am currently in the trenches of the modern curriculum. I know exactly what teachers are looking for, how current rubrics work, and how stressful school can feel. Because I am closer in age to my students than a traditional teacher, I can explain things in a way that actually clicks, making English feel approachable rather than intimidating.

Who These Lessons Are For
My lessons are specifically designed for:

Elementary and Middle School students who want to build a strong foundation in grammar, reading comprehension, and creative writing.

Incoming High School freshmen looking to ease the transition into high-school-level essay writing and literary analysis.

Any student who feels intimidated by English class and needs a patient, peer-level mentor to help boost their grades and confidence.
