About Katya
I am a former student of McGill University and received my BA in Russian Literature this past year. I also worked as a research assistant and academic copyeditor/proofreader for several years, have had my papers published in student journals, and have presented my work at conferences. In the past I worked part-time as co-writer of an ESL textbook for children in China.

My methodology varies from subject to subject - for languages I like to focus on building upwards from a strong knowledge of grammar, whereas for more subjective areas such as writing (where there is more than one correct way to phrase ideas), I focus on clear communication of ideas, structure, and discussion and comparison of stylistic options.
