- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately from home for 9 years but also taught general musicianship using the Kodaly Method in primary Schools. In addition, I am an Early Years Music Specialist and have brought music sessions to Nurseries in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and London. I have also held the position as a musicianship instructor for the National Youth Choir of Scotland and was the assistant director to several of their children's choirs in various locations around Scotland.

Yes I do have an up to date DBS as i work in nurseries.

I am a friendly, approachable tutor of Classical Singing, Flute and Piano from home in Dirleton and around East Lothian. I teach all ages and levels but have the most experience in working with children.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Classical Singing, Flute, Piano and Music Theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied music at the University of York where I obtained my BA hons and completed 2 years of Post Graduate Studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in July 2013.
In addition, I have a certificate to show I have completed a 30 credit post graduate module entitled 'kodaly and the 21st Century' at the University of Aberdeen in conjunction with the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour and £15 for half an hour if teaching from my own home. I add £2-5 for travel depending on where a pupil lives. I always give a free consultation lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I teach from home in Dirleton but am also happy to consider traveling to a student's house.
- When are you available?
Days available on request but I mainly teach after 3.30pm weekdays. I take short breaks over the seasonal holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all levels in singing and flute but only teach up to and including grade 5 piano. I specialise in teaching children but have several adult students too.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams depending on the student.
