About Soutrik
I tailor my experiences to the specific exam board and tier of examination (higher and foundation) that each student is undertaking and work to ensure they can understand how to pass those exams. I like to work holistically with maths, biology, chemistry and physics as these four core subjects may interconnect with each other - so teaching one topic could help in aiding another. I have a BSc. in biomedical science. I have an MSc. in cancer biology and therapeutics, I have a PGCE in Chemistry, I have worked in COVID labs, I have taught in schools, I have worked with students and adults to transfer a passion about science and the world.

I have an extensive knowledge of biological statistics and algebraic calculations at a degree level. I am calm, and logical when it comes to teaching and I like to work with the student when it comes to problems that they have. I am not hesitant to call students out when they aren't focusing on their work. But I prefer to reward good behaviour than reprimand the bad. I have tutored students in the past, both in class as a group and one-on-one and have been tutoring full time for a year now. I prefer online one-on-one, because it allows for a more tailored experience. Lessons are 1 hour long. I am comfortable teaching any exam board when it comes to Maths as the past papers are absolutely clear on the answers, so I will reverse engineer the teaching courses with the past papers.

Soutrik has been helping my daughter with her A- Level maths for the last few months. He is a very talented tutor, friendly and professional. He plans the lesson in advance making sure that my daughter gets the most of each lesson, focusing on any areas that she is struggling with. He also sets homework between lessons which has been really helpful in reinforcing what they have gone through during their lesson. All in all, Soutrik is very knowledgeable and thorough in his teaching and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
