About Barry

I have been playing for over 5 decades. I was a member of the City of Blacktown Pipe since 1977 and ran the band from 1984 until 2008. It was NSW Premier band. Since 2008 I have been a member of the band now known as the Governor Macquarie Memorial Pipe Band and its Pipe Major and President since 2010. I am a full-time professional piper running (concealed information) who perform at over 350 pay outs a year from funerals and weddings to corporate events and concert performances with people such as: Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem, Bryan Adams and Sir Paul McCartney to name just a few. About the lesson

We do 30-minute ZOOM lessons for AUD$33. 45-minute ZOOM lesson for AUD$44. If you are in Sydney we can come to your premises for a face-to-face 45-minute ZOOM lesson for AUD$77. I have played in bands such as Dysart & Dundonald Pipe Band under PM R.T. Shepherd and Davey Barnes. NZ Police under Pipe Major Iain Robertson. Fife Constabulary under Pipe Major James Murray (Oban Gold Medal winner 1997). I have been teaching for over 40 years and my method is unique and returns a good result without compromising the need to strive for perfection to ensure you become a good player.
