I hold an MA in Painting from RCA and an MA in Contemporary Art Criticism from Leiden University. I have been a visiting lecturer at RCA and am a practicing artist with exhibitions home and abroad.

About Marc
My BA is in Liberal Arts with a major in art history from Utrecht University (the Netherlands) . I also hold an MA in Cultural Studies with a specialisation in contemporary art theory from Leiden University (the Netherlands) and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art (UK). I began to teach because I see teaching as a two-way street, where we can both arrive at a deeper understanding of contemporary art.

My lessons consist of both theoretical and practical approaches to drawing and painting. These encompass artistic theory, art history, art criticism and art economics. Each lesson can be tailor-made to any student's needs regardless of their level. The methods I follow were acquired both in my time as a student and a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art. As a lecturer, I was part of programme carried out by the University to support marginalised communities and initiate them into education in the arts.
