I have been in public education for 26 years. My teachers and coaches inspired me to be the first of my maternal grandparents' grandsons to receive a college education. My goal is to help students improve each time we meet.

My specialty is breaking down complex language and recognizing how grammar plays a role in decoding literature. I have also taught history and physical education and coached football, basketball, powerlifting, and track; so I can especially relate historical context and sport, as appropriate, to literature.
