About Frank

I am an enthusiastic and interested 21 year old, keen to share my passion for history with other students. I believe that the key to good scholarship and high academic achievement, at any level, is finding some genuine interest for the subject at hand. I understand that especially given mandatory subjects at GCSE level, interest can be hard to find. The role of a tutor then is not only that of improving the attainment of students, but also in helping them identify subject areas they could be most interested in with a view to help them make sound choices when deciding between A-levels or undergraduate courses. My achieving 10 A*s at GCSE and 3 A*s at A-level, and a 'double first' from the University of Oxford was in no small part due to teachers and mentors helping me to understand how every subject can be interesting and important. I hope to do the same for other students.

About the lesson

Typical length of a lesson/session is between 60 and 90 minutes. I prefer working on the basis of a (complimentary) introductory session. Following the introductory session, each lesson will start with a discussion of work previously produced (in the prior lesson or as 'homework'), before going over new content and identifying areas to improve.

From 2 years of rowing together, Frank was both my Captain and President. He was an excellent leader and had us extremely well organised for all of the regattas we entered.
