About Sharri
I have been teaching for 9 years through this time working in a variety of schools. I currently work full time in an ‘Outstanding’ school and have excellent records of students surpassing their target grades. History is my passion and I fully believe learning about the past is the key to improving the future. My favourite topic is a mixture of World War 2 and the Cold War, and my favourite historical figure is Queen Elizabeth!

I place a high emphasis on writing structure and interpreting exam questions as this is the key to achieving a higher grade in History. Subject knowledge, while vital to success, will only take you so far if you cannot access exam questions. I like to model how to complete tasks and provide plenty of scaffolding (support) which can be removed as students gain confidence. I can adapt a variety of methods depending on the learners' needs and how they learn best, be that through visual support, repetition of information through quizzes or using examples.
