Follow this History tutor while he leads you on a personalized historical journey.
My lessons can be geared to middle schoolers and above from college to adult student. I will talk to you before the lesson to guage what you wish to learn from the lesson.
Below is a sample lesson plan:
Lesson Plan:
5 minutes - Introduction:
- Greet the student and engage in a brief conversation to establish a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
- Introduce the topic of the Revolutionary War and ask the student what they already know about it.
10 minutes - Interactive Presentation:
- Use slides or visual aids to present key information about the causes, major events, and key figures of the Revolutionary War.
- Encourage the student to ask questions and make the presentation interactive by involving them in discussions about the material.
10 minutes - Guided Reading and Discussion:
- Provide the student with a short reading passage or excerpt from a historical text related to the Revolutionary War.
- Discuss the reading with the student, asking them to summarize the main points and share their thoughts and interpretations.
5 minutes - Recap and Reflection:
- Summarize the main points covered in the lesson and check the student's understanding by asking them to explain the causes and significance of the Revolutionary War in their own words.
- Encourage the student to reflect on what they have learned and ask if they have any remaining questions.
